What it is

Safe. Quick. Effective.

diVa® is a quick 3-5 minute vaginal laser procedure that addresses women’s health issues related to the symptoms of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM)1 .  These symptoms include vaginal pain, dryness, and burning.

Other common functional symptoms are recurrent urinary tract infections and urinary incontinence.  Up to 70% of postmenopausal women are affected by GSMsymptoms.

Women want real answers, but most importantly, they want relief and improved vaginal health. They may have tried other over-the-counter, prescribed, or surgical therapies that fell short of expectations and required a strong commitment to maintain.

diVa is an effective, evidence-based3,4 alternative approach for improving GSM symptoms.

diVa’s Ergonomic and Intelligent Design

3 Angle Delivery Options

diVa’s ergonomic and intelligent design eliminates the need for separate attachments. The device features 3 different angles that are software controlled to allow the clinician the choice of a 90°, 180°, or 360° laser beam delivery.

Measurement Guide Rings

The 3 guide rings provide a visual reference point during treatment. The rings indicate the distance of the laser beam from where the diVa device is retracting from the vaginal canal. The yellow ring is 3 cm, the blue is 2 cm, and the red is 1 cm from the laser beam.

Sapphire Window

As the automatic rotation of the diVa barrel delivers energy to the walls of the vagina, the highly reflected gold plated mirror is protected from debris by its sapphire window. This is unlike other devices that require you to remove the barrel and clean the mirror. diVa’s sapphire window ensures that the laser beam pulses delivered to the vaginal tissue have the same effective energy from start to finish.

Strengthened Quartz Dilators (SQD)

The single use dilators, unique to diVa, have been designed to expand the vaginal canal for increased treatment area. The SQD remains stationary during the procedure as the handpiece barrel rotates within, which helps ensure a comfortable experience for the patient. In addition, the SQD acts as a hygienic barrier, reduces the risk of cross contamination, and preserves the device’s integrity. Equally important, each rotation provides a new, clean area for energy delivery.

The Science Behind diVa

Our Technology

Sciton’s founders, researchers, engineers, and women’s health physicians used their vast knowledge and expertise to create the first-ever dual-wavelength vaginal device that is safe, comfortable, and quick.

No other device in the women’s health market is engineered with diVa’s versatile technology, allowing clinicians to customize therapy based on each patient’s needs. It’s just one reason diVa has earned high satisfaction ratings from clinicians and patients worldwide.

How it Works

Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) Technology

diVa utilizes the revolutionary HFL technology developed for HALO, the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, to provide tunable independent levels of ablation and coagulation, as well as varying levels of density. This allows the provider to customize parameters based on each patient’s symptoms and vaginal health.

High Precision Automation (HPA)

The motorized guidance system allows clinicians to perform procedures that deliver energy precisely, uniformly, and efficiently from start to finish every time.  The device’s automated rotation limits user technique variability and promotes consistent, predictable, and tolerable treatments, lasting just 3-5 minutes.

Wavelengths That Are Purpose Driven

diVa delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone: 2940 nm for ablation and 1470 nm for coagulation.

The 2940 nm wavelength creates precise ablative micro-channels from 0 to 800 microns depth into the epithelium.

The 1470 nm wavelength’s non-ablative energy is delivered 0-700 microns into the lamina propria or the area where collagen and elastin reside to stimulate wound healing through coagulation.

Each wavelength and its parameters can be used separately or as a blend to create a unique synergistic effect.
